Jamey was part of the Fall 2024 intern cohort at the iconic Hatch Show Print in Nashville, TN.​ Hatch Show Print has been continuously operating since 1879, making it one of the oldest print shops still around, and its collection of antique type and hand-carved woodblocks make it a true legend in the letterpress world.

 

As a Hatch intern, Jamey participated in the design process from talking to the client at the start of the process to delivering their finished posters at the end. He was trained in the Hatch design philosophy and he designed his own posters from conception to completion, including hand-mixing his own ink colors and doing his own printing using their Vandercook Universal 1 and Universal 3 presses.​
