I have a piece of exciting news to share! I've been hired on at my local print shop, Book Arts, as their new Program Manager!!
This is kind of a dream come true for me: Book Arts is the letterpress studio where I do all my work, and it's one of my favorite places in the entire world. We're a small operation with only a handful of staff, so I'm really excited and honored to have been brought onto the team in an official capacity.
As Program Manager, I'm going to be managing our shop and working with our consignment artists, as well as handling all our marketing. It's a huge opportunity for me and I'm really excited to see what I can accomplish with all of the freedom they're giving me. This was my first full week and I'm already taking over the blog and social media, and today I made my first blog post, introducing myself to the community.
I also think this is going to open up new opportunities for me artistically, as I have more access to equipment than I've ever had! And it's just really great for me to be able to spend more time at the studio. So I'm really happy about it and I just wanted to share!
